Privacy Policy — FA6LIT
Version 1.1 — 17 September 2026 (adds the Phone and SMS roles, photos, close ones)
This is a translation. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
In two sentences
FA6LIT has no account, no advertising and no analytics: your messages, contacts and photos stay on your phone. The only thing that leaves the device for the publisher is an anonymous fingerprint of the phone, used to count the free trial and to verify the purchase.
1. Who is responsible for your data
FA6LIT, a sole trader registered under SIRET 399 538 172 00020. The publisher’s full identity appears in article 1 of the Terms of Use and Sale.
Contact for any question or request about your data: contact@fa6lit.com.
2. What is processed, why, and on what legal basis
What stays on your phone
This data is read on the phone, by the app, at the moment it is needed. The publisher has no access to it: it is neither copied to a server nor sent to anyone.
| Data | Why | What FA6LIT does with it |
|---|---|---|
| Notifications (missed calls, text messages, WhatsApp, emails: sender and start of the text) — only if you turn on notification access | Show them large on the home screen, read them aloud, reply to them | Kept in memory while displayed, then forgotten. Never stored, never sent |
| Contacts (names, numbers and email addresses) | Find the person you name when you say "Call Mary" or "Write an email to Mary", then call them or prepare a message | Read at the time of the command, never copied |
| Calls (number and name of the caller, call state) — only if you make FA6LIT your Phone app | Show the call screen (photo, name, ANSWER / HANG UP), flag a missed call | Read during the call, then forgotten; a missed call is flagged by a notification on the phone. FA6LIT does not read the call log |
| Text messages and MMS (messages received and sent, photos received) — only if you make FA6LIT your SMS app | Show them in large text, read them aloud, reply (dictated or typed), send them | Stored in Android's message box, as any SMS app would; never copied elsewhere, never sent to the publisher. A received MMS goes through a temporary file of the app, deleted right away If SEN6TIF (the anti-scam app from the same publisher) is installed on the phone, FA6LIT submits to it, on the phone itself, the sender and text of each received message to check whether it is a scam; FA6LIT sends it nothing else, and SEN6TIF applies its own privacy policy. |
| Photos from the phone's gallery — only if you allow it | Show them in large in FA6LIT, send them to a close one | Read on the phone, never copied |
| Close ones (first name, number, relationship chosen by you or your relative) | Call or write with one tap | Stored in the app; excluded from Google Drive backups |
| List of installed apps | Show the "Apps" screen, the cards that open an app, and open the app you name by voice ("Open Facebook") | Read on the phone only |
| Order of the home-screen cards, app settings | Keep the home screen the way you arranged it | Stored in the app; excluded from Google Drive backups |
Your voice. The "Speak" button uses Android's voice recognition (usually provided by Google). It is that service which listens and turns the sentence into text, under its own privacy rules; FA6LIT receives only the text, does not store it and does not send it anywhere. Reading aloud uses the phone's voice.
What leaves your phone
| Data | Recipient | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
Fingerprint of the phone's technical identifier (ANDROID_ID, transformed with SHA-256: it cannot be recovered from it), date of first launch, date of the last check, the app's version number and the fingerprint of its signing certificate (the same for every phone) | FA6LIT's licence service (Cloudflare) | Count the fifteen-day trial only once per phone, even after reinstalling, and refuse a modified copy of the app | Legitimate interest (preventing endless trials, fighting counterfeits) |
| Play Integrity attestation: a verdict from Google saying whether the app is the original and whether the device is intact | Google, then the licence service | Reject modified copies of the app | Legitimate interest (fighting counterfeiting) |
| Google Play purchase token and order ID, with the fingerprint of the phones on which the purchase is used | Google Play, then the licence service | Check with Google that the purchase is genuine, restore it on another phone, and count those phones (three at most per purchase) | Performance of the contract |
| IP address and technical connection information | Cloudflare, for the fa6lit.com website and the licence service; GitHub, for the weather page | Deliver the page or response, and protect the service against abuse | Legitimate interest |
| Approximate location (city level) — only on the Weather screen, and only if you allow it | FA6LIT's weather page, then the Open-Meteo service | Show the weather where you are | Consent (Android permission, which can be withdrawn at any time) |
The purchase itself (name, payment method, billing address) is processed by Google, not by the publisher, under Google's privacy policy. The publisher never receives your bank details.
What FA6LIT does not do
- No account: you are not asked for a name, email address, phone number or date of birth.
- No advertising, no profiling, no usage analytics, no audience measurement tool, no crash reports sent automatically.
- No selling or disclosure of data to third parties for commercial purposes.
- No precise location, no microphone access by the app, no reading of the call log; text messages are read only if you make FA6LIT your SMS app, and stay on the phone, no accessibility service.
- The fa6lit.com website sets no cookies and contains no trackers.
3. Who receives this data
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): hosting of the website and the licence service.
- Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd: Google Play (purchase, purchase verification, Play Integrity) and, where applicable, Android's voice recognition.
- GitHub, Inc. (United States): hosting of the weather page shown in the app.
- Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com): weather forecast service, with no account; it receives approximate coordinates or the name of the town searched for.
Some of these providers are based in the United States: transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
The apps FA6LIT opens (Phone, Messages, WhatsApp, Gmail, Photos, SOSBY…) are independent of FA6LIT and apply their own privacy rules.
4. How long
- Notifications, contacts, text of a voice command: for the time of the display or the command. Nothing is kept.
- Calls, text messages and MMS: messages stay in Android's message box as long as you keep them; FA6LIT keeps no copy.
- Card order and settings: on the phone, until the app is uninstalled or its data cleared.
- Phone fingerprint and trial date: two years after first launch, then automatically deleted.
- Purchase reference (token and order ID): as long as the purchase is valid, and at most ten years after the purchase, the retention period for accounting records.
- Cloudflare technical logs: a few days, under the host's rules.
- Emails you send us: for the time needed to handle your request, then at most three years.
5. Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
- Stop everything at once: uninstall FA6LIT. What was on the phone disappears with the app.
- Location: withdraw the permission in Android's settings; the weather still works by searching for the town.
- The Phone and SMS roles: give them back to another app in Android's settings; your messages stay on the phone.
- Notifications: turn off FA6LIT's notification access in Android's settings.
- The trial fingerprint: it can neither identify nor contact you; deleting it before two years would give the same phone a new free trial, which is the only thing it exists to prevent. You may nevertheless object by writing to us.
- Exercise your other rights: write to contact@fa6lit.com. We reply within one month. As FA6LIT has no accounts, you may be asked for information that allows us to find the data concerned (for example the Google Play order ID).
You can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, or with the data protection authority of your country.
6. Children
FA6LIT is intended for adults, especially seniors and people reluctant to use smartphones. The app creates no account, asks for no age and does not knowingly collect any data from children.
7. Security
Exchanges with the licence service and the website are encrypted (HTTPS). The phone's identifier is never sent in clear, only its fingerprint. Responses from the licence service are signed, so that a fake response is rejected. The app's data is excluded from Google Drive backups.
8. United States residents
We do not "sell" or "share" personal information, within the meaning of US state privacy laws (California — CCPA/CPRA — and comparable laws), and we do no targeted advertising or profiling. Approximate location is used only to show the weather. You can exercise your rights (to know, obtain a copy, correct, delete) by writing to contact@fa6lit.com, without any discrimination. FA6LIT is not directed at children under 13.
9. Changes
Any substantial change will be announced in the app or on fa6lit.com. The version in force is shown at the top of this document. This text exists in eight languages; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails, without prejudice to the rights you hold under the law of your country.
